Map: Cranbrook Community Forest

KOC Club President JP Buysschaert is designing some forest fun for us in the Cranbrook Community Forest. This area was first used when our small club held the North American Orienteering Championship in 2010! It was challenging terrain like this that put Kimberley/Cranbrook on the 'Orienteering Map' I guess we can say.

JP is also one of the planners for this fall's big Navigation/Adventure Run event, "Run the Wild" being held over 2 days, Oct. 4 and 5th. I encourage everyone new or experienced to orienteering to take a look at this incredible event this fall. We are very lucky to be hosting this event as it originated in the orienteering terrain around Calgary! This is Run The Wild's second visit to our neck of the woods and it is an event not to be missed. Getting a little 'preview' on the Cranbrook Community Forest map on May 30th could prove very helpful for those planning to Run the Wild.

TNT

Low key events with the focus on fun and learning. The intent is to offer orienteering suitable for newcomers plus a course which is challenging for experienced orienteers.
