Our Trivia Orienteering event involves using a detailed orienteering map of Kimberley to find your way to marked areas on the map and answering the trivia question associated with that spot on the map. Visit as many marked sites as you can in a 1 hour and 15 minute time period and get back to the finish line in time! You choose which marked sites to go to and how you get there. Just be careful of the time or you will receive penalty points! You might even learn a little bit about Kimberley along the way! Come on out for some walking or running fun, navigating our streets and paths. Let's see how well you know Kimberley!
Meet at the Gazebo in the Platzl to get your map. We will have seasoned orienteers at the start to provide instruction for newcomers to orienteering. This is a great opportunity to get out and try orienteering on an urban map. It is also a great event for families to go out together and is dog friendly if your dog is on a leash. Meet at the Gazebo by 6:00 pm if you want to join the beginner clinic and learn a bit about the colours and features on an orienteering map.
