Annual General Meeting and "Welcome to Winter"-Orienteering Event Standard

Welcome to Winter! The Kootenay Orienteering Club will be holding their AGM at Kimberley Alpine Resort on Saturday Dec. 9, 2023. (More Details will be posted soon!) As a warm up for the AGM, come for a "Welcome to Winter" Foot Orienteering event starting at 4:00 pm Sat. Dec. 9. This event will be held on the KAR area Orienteering map which has just been updated with some of the new foot trails in the area. It will be a standard Point to Point Orienteering fun event with lots of route choice options to challenge you as you run around the Kimberley Alpine Resort Base and local ski hill neighborhoods. You might get to some areas you have never been to before and you will certainly be able to take in some of the surrounding Christmas lights! Then join us at the Trickle Creek Lodge (conference room) for our AGM and find out what's in store for local Orienteering in 2024!
*Update: Come run the fun orienteering course at 4 pm and then join us for a Pot Luck Dinner at 5:30-6:30 pm in the Trickle Creek Lodge Conference Rm.,500 Stemwinder Dr. (Follow the Orienteering signs and flags to get to the conference room) Sign up for the event and bring a dish to share! Then stay for our AGM which will start at 6:30 pm. Learn about the Kootenay Orienteering Club and what is in the works for next year!
**Considering the weather we have had and now the dropping temperature, it is HIGHLY Recommended that people going out on the Welcome to Winter Orienteering Event, wear some type of "traction aid" devices. It is really slippery out there!
