The second Ski-O of 2026 has two courses. The Short course is about the same length as the Regular course in Ski-O #1 and also has little climb. The Longer course is about the same length as the Advance Longer in Ski-O #1 but has more climb - good preparation for the more challenging Ski-O #3 during Nordic Fest in March. Both courses include some single track which skate skiers must double-pole -- careful route choice will reduce the amount of double-poling.

To take part you must have a day ticket or be a current member of the Kimberley Nordic Club. Please register in advance (before 5 pm February 14) to help us print the correct number of maps, with a few extras for last minute participants. The first start is at 1:00 pm and the last at 2:00 pm. Meet on the deck of the lodge between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to collect your map and recording unit, then start your course within this time slot when you are ready. Please aim to be back by 3:00 pm.

Snow conditions and grooming report (Friday February 13)

The grooming team have been doing a fabulous job maintaining the trails despite the unseasonal temperatures and dwindling snow. In the last few days it has not been possible to set classic tracks on the single-track network but the snow has been successfully renovated to finely break up any ice and provide a good skiing surface. The K1/K2 hill is also in good condition. So, come on out and enjoy the challenge of a Ski-O but exercise caution!
