- Check-in opens at 10:15 AM

- Starts across from Stirton Road along the Northstar Rails 2 Trails
- Parking along Stirton Road (careful crossing the highway)
- Best option is to ride your bike or walk along the trail to the event
- 5 KM & 8 KM Run
- 5 KM Walk
- Easter Egg Hunt - For those that missed Easter
- Free Entry for those Brings Cookies or Cake
- Entry by Donation
- 2026 Membership in the Kootenay Orienteering Club (required to participate)

Pediatric (Paediatric) Cancer Research Fund Raiser
This year we are supporting the Strong Like Sloane Team who are raising funds for paediatric research. You may donate directly or collections will be made at the event on April 12th. Donate Here
In 2026 I set a goal to be more consistent with running again! I find that committing to an event the most effective way to stay motivated, so I registered for the Calgary Half Marathon! I am running with the Strong Like Sloane team whose goal is to find a cure and end paediatric cancer! Find out more about the cause @stronglikesloane. A term used to describe cancers that occur between birth and 14 years of age. Pediatric cancers are very rare and may differ from adult cancers in the way they grow and spread, how they are treated, and how they respond to treatment. The most common types of pediatric cancer are leukemia, brain and spinal cord tumors, lymphoma, neuroblastoma, Wilms tumor (a type of kidney cancer), retinoblastoma, and cancers of the bone and soft tissue. Also called childhood cancer.
Why do I need a Club Membership?
The Kootenay Orienteering Club is an associated club of the Canadian Orienteering Federation. Our insurance policy requires that all participants in club events must be a club / assocation member.. In addition to this event members get free entry to all club Thursday Night Training events, and Monday Night Trail Runs, discounts at any club hosted weekend events and events hosted by any club in Canada. You also get free use of our timing sticks, at club events. Please purchase your membership here, in advance of the trail run. There is no addition ticketing fee when purchasing your membership on-line. Thank you.
