Junior Spring Program

Junior Program - Spring 2024

Ages 9+

Saturday Mornings starting May 11 (May 11, 18, & 25, and June 1st)
Meeting up each week at different locations in Kimberley.
10am-12:30pm

These weekly sessions will focus on navigation skills - for use in orienteering and other outdoor activities such as hiking.
Each week will be a combination of instruction, games, exercises and orienteering courses.

Program Topics Include:

- Instructions on using Compass
- Basic to Intermediate Map Reading
- Route Planning Skills
- Orienteering Techniques

Program Fee: $30 per child. The fee for any additional children in the same household is only $20.
This fee includes membership in the Kootenay Orienteering Club for 2024 for those enrolled in the program.

Sessions will be held out-doors , rain or shine, so dress according to the weather.
The program is led by Megan Howe - with the help of other volunteers and members of the Kootenay O Club.

Please note that there will be a physical element to the sessions.
